IMPERFEKTI - SÄÄNNÖLLISET VERBIT

Kirjoita aukkokohtaan joko oikea imperfektimuoto tai sitten, jos kyseessä on kysymyslause, oikea muoto verbistä. LUE OHJE. Jotkut sanat on suomennettu. Laita osoitin alleviivatun sanan päälle nähdäksesi suomennoksen.

Englannin kielessä on kahdenlaisia verbejä - säännöllisiä ja epäsäännöllisiä. Imperfektissä säännölliset verbit saavat -ED-päätteen, samoin perfektissä:

talk - talked (puhui, jutteli) - (has, have) talked (= on puhunut, jutellut)

Huomaa OIKEINKIRJOITUS 1: try - tried - tried (y muuttuu i:ksi!)

Huomaa OIKEINKIRJOITUS 2: live - lived - lived (e tippuu pois!)

Epäsäännölliset verbit täytyy opetella ulkoa, esim. swim - swam (= ui) - (has, have) swum (= on uinut)

What did you watch on TV last night? --- I 'Heartbeat', my favourite TV seriessarja.

Who did you it with? --- I watched it with my wife.

Where did you live before you movedmove = muuttaa here? --- We in Manchester.

Who did you talk to on the phone? --- I to my best friend, Matt.

Why did you walk alone home from school? --- I alone because Matt was ill.

When did you last visit your granny? --- I her last week.

Why did you touch the hot burner(hellan) levy? --- I it because I didn't know the stove was on!

What did the thief varas  try to steal? --- He to steal my Rolex, a very expensive watchrannekello.

Where did you from Oulu? --- We moved to Kouvola.

Why did you decide to move to Kouvola? --- We to do it because my relatives live there.

Where did your dad work in Oulu? --- He at the university there.

Where did you stop on your way back home yesterday. --- I at the supermarket to buy some milk.

When did you finish working yesterday? --- I'm afraid I very late.

When did the train arrive? --- It at 5.30.

Who did Janet with at the party? --- She danced with Tom.
